Alfred "Al" Hembree

Alfred Edward Hembree was born on December 14, 1930, in Oak Grove, Oklahoma. He died on Friday, December 16, 2022, at his home in Westville, Oklahoma. Al was the son of Ray Doy Hembree and Carlotta Ruth (Adair) Hembree.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Roy and Carlotta; four brothers: Watie, Monroe, Sam, and Vernon; two sisters: Marie Boren and Alyne Padgett; two grandsons; and one great grandson.

Survivors include his wife: Sue, of the home; four children: Regina Williams and husband Steve of Wagoner, OK, Julie Akin and husband Cliff of Westville, OK, JoNita Scott and husband Bub of Proctor, OK, John Hembree and wife Deneille of Westville, OK; two brothers: Ivan Hembree of Stilwell, OK, and Dan Hembree and wife Audrey of Westville; brother-in-law: Dewey Padgette of Sallisaw, OK, 26 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Al was a devoted Christian. He loved his family. He loved making knives, arrowheads, and stained glass. He also loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was always ready to “go”!
