Andrew “Rusty” Harlin, son of Andy and Irene (Vann) Harlin, was born on August 31, 1955 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He departed from this life to be with our Lord and to begin his new life in heaven on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital, Stilwell, Oklahoma.
He graduated from Sequoyah High School, Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 1973. Rusty held numerous jobs after High School. He eventually found his passion of maintenance work in the hospital / nursing home environment. In the early 80’s, Rusty was involved in a traffic accident and at that point in his life, he accepted Christ. In the early 90’s, he became an ordained minister. Rusty pastored many churches and at the time of his passing, he was the pastor of Beaver Church in Greasy, Oklahoma.
Rusty loved playing drums, gospel singing, visiting flea markets with Vicki, and wanted people to remember that he loved the Lord. He was a kindhearted and compassionate man, who enjoyed helping anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Andy and Irene Harlin, brothers: Albert Harlin and Jamie Snell, sisters: Pokie Whitten and a baby sister.
A loving family survives Rusty. They include his wife: Vicki (Key) Harlin, of the home in Westville, OK, his son: Reuben Factor of Okmulgee, OK, brother: Wilbert Harlin and wife Vicky of Little Kansas, OK and sister: Joann Davis of Westville.
Numerous friends, family and church family also survive Rusty.
