Bettye Jho (Nance) Wall was born August 22, 1930, in Poyet, Texas to Hollis E. Nance and Nova (White) Nance, she passed away on July 12, 2022, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 10 months, and 21 days.
Bettye was a lifelong resident of Amarillo, Texas for more than 75 years, where she graduated from Amarillo High School in 1948.
She married her High School sweetheart Paul Wall in 1948 in San Diego, California, while Paul was in the U.S. Navy.
Bettye loved living in Amarillo but also loved visiting the mountains of New Mexico; where she found many ideas for her beautiful oil paintings that she had painted over the years. She had a real talent for painting the colorful trees, flowers, and mountains of that area.
More than her love for New Mexico was her love for her husband of 73 years, and her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Bettye loved God, her Savior Jesus Christ and served Him at Bolton Street Baptist Church for many years. Today we can rejoice knowing she is in the arms of God in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Hollis E. and Nova E. Nance.
Bettye is survived by her husband: Paul B. Wall of Westville, Oklahoma; son: Doug B. Wall of Amarillo, Texas; daughter: Diana J. Bridges and husband John Lance Bridges of Westville, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Christopher Wall and wife Paige of Anderson, South Carolina, Levi Cash Bridges of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joanna Conway and husband Keith of Clyde, Texas, Landon Cade Bridges and wife Laura of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Nancy Wall of San Antonio, Texas, Mark Wall and wife Christina of Asheville, North Carolina, and Matthew Villandry and wife Brittany of Chiang Mai, Thailand; 13 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Westville City Cemetery, Westville, OK with Lance Bridges officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
