Billie Blondell Howard, daughter of William Riley and Mabel Ann (Gaylean) Kindle, was born on January 1, 1935 in Dees Hollow, Oklahoma and departed this life on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at her home in Christie, Oklahoma.
She was raised in Turkey Hollow and attended Clearfork School. In August of 1951, Billie married her sweetheart, Philip Leon Howard in Harrison, AR.
They were dairy farmers in Christie for several years and Billie continued farming until 2017. Also, She and Philip grew tomatoes for the Campbell Soup Company in Proctor. Billie absolutely loved to spend time outdoors. She loved to cook for family and friends. Canning was a special aspect of her life, as were her children and grandchildren. Billie was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Daughter and friend.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents: William and Mabel Ann Kindle, husband: Philip Howard, daughter: Phyllis Pruitt, son-in-law: Albert Pruitt, Jr., granddaughter: Angela Edmisten, great grandson: Little John Starkey.brothers: Junior, Erval, Walter, sisters: Juanita, Zella, Patsy, Carolyn, several beloved brothers and sisters-in-law.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her children: Pam Hall of Christie, OK, Marilyn Edmisten of Proctor, OK, Jannette Elliott and husband Charles of Depew, OK, sister: Betty Rhine of Salem, OR, brothers: Elmo Kindle and wife May of Claremore, OK, Jim Kindle and wife Donna of Tulsa, OK, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services at 10 am on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Mtn. View Freewill Baptist Church, Westville, Oklahoma with Pastor Bart Skipper officiating. Interment to follow at Proctor Cemetery, Proctor, Ok under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
