Billy Hamblin

Billy Dean Hamblin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  Billy Dean was born on February 14, 1937 in Westville, OK and he was 84 years old.

Billy Dean was the most kind-hearted gentleman that loved his family dearly.  He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for 28 years, cattle farmer, and volunteer fireman for Westville.

Billy Dean was born to the late Evan and Levon Hamblin, a farmer and homemaker, in Westville, OK.  He graduated from Westville High School and then went to Hawaii to serve for the United States Army.  Billy Dean was blessed with a family and married his high school sweetheart, Linda Carmichael on December 27, 1956.  Together they raised their son, Michael Dean Hamblin.

Billy Dean is survived by his wife, Linda, son Mike Hamblin, daughter in-law Carla Hamblin, grandsons, Zach and Luke Hamblin, sister Barbara Clark and her husband Hershel Clark.  He is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Gene Hamblin and his parents.  Our humorous, loving, gentle giant will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Westville United Methodist Church, Westville, OK with Dr. Dan Eischen officiating.  Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery, Westville, OK under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
