Carolyn Smith

Carolyn Arlene Smith (known fondly as Arlene), daughter of Roscoe and Beatrice (Edgmon) Keeter, was born on April 23, 1941 in Christie, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas at 77 years of age.

Arlene was a sweet, caring and kind person to everyone. She focused much of her energy on her family. She loved and cherished them. Arlene treated every person she met with kindness and consideration, making them feel at home.

She worked at DHS for many years, touching many lives and making many friends.

Arlene leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will forever be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Roscoe and Beatrice Keeter, brother: Bobby Keeter and sister: Christine Martin.

Arlene leaves behind a loving and devoted family to keep her memory alive. They include her husband of over 49 years, Danny Smith of the home near Westville, OK, her children: Cindy Davis and husband Mike, Shelly Cooper and husband Robbie, Scottie Smith and wife Kristi, all of Westville, grandchildren: Jill Sprick and husband Chris of Prairie Grove, AR, Brianna Smith, Jake Cooper and wife Kaycee, of Westville, Chandler Smith of Siloam Springs, AR, great grandchildren: Kylee and Kensi Walkingstick, Addi and Avery Sprick, of Prairie Grove, Rosslyn Smith of Westville. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Impact Church, Westville, OK with Shelly Cooper and Rev. Audie Vaughan officiating. Interment followed at Westville City Cemetery, Westville, OK under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
