Conley Beavers was born February 26, 1931 in Chewey, Oklahoma and died on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Siloam Springs Arkansas at the age of 86 years.
Conley served in the Army during the Korean Conflict in Boston, Massachusetts in surface to air missile defense of our country.
He had many careers but mainly was a dairy farmer and then a cattle rancher. A farmer doesn't have much time for hobbies, his farm and cattle were his work and his hobby. He loved his cows, horses and dogs. He attended church, sang at church and at many funerals with his best friend Wayne (Buds) Hampton. He loved life, God, his family, friends and neighbors.
Conley was preceded in death by his parents: Wyly and Ella Beavers, 3 sisters: Gertrude Morris, Audene Purdy and Ivon Phipps.
He is survived by his spouse: Verna Beavers, 1 daughter: Deborah Akin, 1 grandson: Nathan Akin, sister-in-law: Lois Hampton, many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, OK with Bro. Chet Johnson officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery, Chewey, OK.
