Dennis Lee Neeley was born June 16th, 1931, to James Powell Neeley and Flossie Mae Dennis Neeley in Haskell, TX. Dennis passed peacefully from this life on February 10th, 2025, in Siloam Springs, AR.
Dennis moved around with his family a lot until they settled in Westville, OK. He dropped out of school and joined the United States Air Force in 1949. There he learned how to work on airplane radios while he was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. After leaving the Air Force in 1953, Dennis went back home to Westville to help his family and start his career with American Airlines. On August 1st, 1964, he married Deloris Johnson. Together they raised their 3 children while running a farm in Westville on the weekends. Dennis retired from American Airlines after 36 years in 1990, he and Deloris built their home in Westville while continuing the cattle business. Dennis always had the best gardens. He grew tomatoes that were the best around and the hottest jalapenos you ever tasted. Dennis was a pillar in his family. He always took care of everyone but his favorite thing to do with his family was play dominoes, you better be good to be on his team!
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Deloris, brother Andrew Neeley, sister Ora Mae Phipps, sister Jimmie Faye Pickard, sister Phyllis Viars and brother Franklin Neeley, granddaughter Stephanie Smith, grandson Tommy Ahrens and great-grandson Daniel Maynard.
He is survived by his sister Imogene Kinsey, sister-in-law Vernona Neeley, daughter Janet Rhodes, son Wade Neeley and wife Joyce, son Michiel Neeley and wife Connie, granddaughter Christie Allen and husband Heath, grandson Jeremy Rhodes and wife Sofia, granddaughter Jaime Helm and husband David, granddaughter Leslie Morrow and husband Brandon, grandson Bobby Smith and wife Toni, granddaughter Siarah King, granddaughter Alyssa Longshore and husband Coy and granddaughter Jaycie Neeley, 29 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. As well as many nieces and nephews that he thought of as his children.
