Doris Jean (Calhoun) Morris, daughter of Tommy Howard and Wanda Belle (Easley) Calhoun, was born on May 4, 1941 in Crosses, Arkansas and passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
She moved to Tulsa from Arkansas in 1954 and attended Wilson Jr. High School and graduated from Central High in Tulsa in 1959. Doris married David Morris on May 29, 1959.
She worked at Mobile Engineering as a secretary and in several Dental offices. Doris loved living on the farm, raising chickens and doves and gardening.
Doris was a great cook. She loved her children, grandchildren and family very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Tommy and Wanda Calhoun, sister: Dorothy Irene (Calhoun) O'Shea, brother: Tommy Dean Calhoun.
She is survived by her loving husband to whom she was married for over 57 years: David Lee Morris of the home in Granby, MO, daughter: Vicky Lynn Morris of Granby, son: Chad David Morris and wife Laura of Neosho, MO, brothers: Loy Ellis Calhoun and wife Sharlene of Sand Springs, OK, Eddie Calhoun and wife Patti of Broken Arrow, OK, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends that all LOVED her!
