Effie Hubbard

Effie Jean Hubbard, daughter of Claude and Dora Vaughn, was born October 24, 1935 in Christie, Oklahoma and departed from this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Quail Ridge Nursing and Rehab in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.

She married Earnest Hubbard on July 16, 1953 and to this union they had two sons: Ernie Hubbard and Gary Hubbard.

Effie worked at the Proctor Canning factory, she cared for her Mother-In-Law until her passing and was a healthcare provider. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and a very special Aunt. She loved to cook, quilt and crochet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons: Ernie and Gary, brothers: Richard, Ray, Henry and Lonnie Vaughn, sisters: Letha Walters and Mabel Neale and mother-in-law: Lizzie Hubbard.

Effie is survived by granddaughter: Stacy Hubbard of Siloam Springs, AR, grandson: Keylan Hubbard of Tulsa, OK, great granddaughters: Hayley Winkler and husband Jackie of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Madilyn and Malia Martin of Siloam Springs, great grandson: Kyle Nations, a loving niece: Janice Maggard and husband Winford of Westville, OK, sister: Pearly Young of Westville, daughter-in-law: Vickie Hubbard of Tulsa, sister-in-law: Bess Kelly and husband Millard of Blackwell, OK, step granddaughter: Latisha Jackson and her sons: Gage, Avery, Lyndon and Markus, step grandsons: Greg Paulus, Bruce Paulus, Jr. and Boston Paulus. Many other relatives and friends survive her.

Graveside services at 2 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Proctor Cemetery, Proctor, OK with Bro. Lance Unger officiating. Interment followed under the direction Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
