Elbert Quick

Elbert Euqene (Gene) Quick, 83, formerly of Westville, OK, passed away at the Ozark Nursing Home in Clinton, Arkansas on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
Gene was born March 26, 1934 to Bud and Eula Quick at Cloud Creek, OK. He was one of six children. He moved around as a child working on farms in different states. He married his wife, Barbara Ann, on June 20, 1957. They lived in Westville, OK and were married for 52 years until her death in December of 2009. They raised two children together. He ran a backhoe service for many years. Gene enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bud & Eula Quick, his brothers: Bobby and Richard Quick, his wife: Barbara Quick and daughter: Jean Ann Simmons.
Gene is survived by his brother: Billy Quick, sisters: Ardella Hester and Nelda Quick, his son: Brian Quick and wife Jennifer of Clinton, AR, grandsons: Justin Craig and wife Heather of Pea Ridge, AR, James Craig of Westville, OK, Morgun, Ean and Laurence Quick of Clinton, AR, great grandchildren: Payton Craig, Jaylee Craig, Bailey Craig, Wesley Clark and Connor Clark.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, OK with Bro. Norman Wilkie officiating. Interment will follow at Westville City Cemetery, Westville, OK.
