Elva Dean Jackson, daughter of Bill Chance and Lucille Guthrie, was born on August 21, 1932 in Westville, Oklahoma and departed this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.
Elva was a delightful person and always had a big smile for everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Elva and her husband Bill raised livestock on their land outside Westville. She loved working in the shop with Bill building birdhouses and other crafts. Elva enjoyed going to the Craft Fairs and meeting new people. She will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Bill Chance, Lucille Guthrie, aunt: Mary Chance, sister: Wanda Long, brothers: William Guthrie and Cheston Chance and a grandchild: Denise Henington.
Elva lives on in the hearts of her husband: Bill Jackson of the home near Westville, OK, children: Henry Jackson of Tahlequah, OK, Patricia Henington and husband Jim of West Fork, AR, grandchildren: Greg Jackson and wife Jessica of Tahlequah, Katie Jackson of Tahlequah, Wendy Gasca and husband Ben of College Station, TX, Kristie Drymon and husband Rodney of West Fork, Jeff Stout of Missouri, great grandchild: Jet Jackson of Tahlequah, two special cousins: Josie Scism and Wilma Williams.
Graveside services were held at 10 am on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Westville City Cemetery, Westville, OK with Bro. Eldon Wilson officiating. interment followed under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home.
