Obituary

Francis Gail Webster passed away peacefully at her home in Watts, Oklahoma, on July 9, 2026, one day before her 81st birthday.

Francis was born on July 10, 1945, at her family's home in Chewey, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Marvie Hampton. Exceptionally bright and driven, she graduated from Westville High School in 1960 at just 15 years old, a testament to her determination and love of learning.

She shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Sam Webster. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and unwavering devotion.

Francis was known for her strong work ethic and dedication to serving others. She owned and operated Webster Tax Service, where she worked as a trusted bookkeeper and tax preparer for more than 30 years. She also spent 17 years working for Walmart and, alongside her husband, owned and operated a dairy farm for 13 years. No matter where life took her, Francis approached every responsibility with integrity, determination, and a servant's heart.

Outside of work, Francis found her greatest joy at home. She loved cooking meals that brought her family together around the table, tending her garden, and surrounding herself with beautiful flowers. She especially enjoyed watching cardinals visit her yard and looked forward to her daily walks to the mailbox, appreciating the quiet beauty around her. She took great pride in caring for herself and found happiness in life's simple routines. Red was her favorite color, a fitting reflection of her vibrant spirit.

More than anything, Francis cherished her family. She loved spending time with those she held dear, creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and lasting memories. She will be remembered for her steadfast love, remarkable work ethic, gentle heart, and the kindness she shared so freely with everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Marvie Hampton; her brothers, David Hampton and Gary Hampton; and her beloved son, Scott Webster.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 55 years, Sam Webster of Watts, Oklahoma; her sister, Joyce Lowe of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her children, Timothy and Sonya Webster of Watts, Oklahoma, Terry and Melody Reed of Watts, Oklahoma, and Marvin and Chelsea Webster of Moody, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Steven and Whitney Ketcher of Watts, Oklahoma, Misty and David Mahler of Westville, Oklahoma, Brittiney and Jeramie McGowen of Westville, Oklahoma, Randall and Lori Webster of Cincinnati, Arkansas, Alex Reed and Kristen Hoogshagen of Bentonville, Arkansas, James and Allison Webster of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Nikki and Justin Deem of Hulbert, Oklahoma, Marisa and Austin Moses of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Meranda and Kevin Criteah of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
