Gene was born July 18, 1946, in Sacramento, California to Frances Loneta Goodrum and John Reynolds Brewster and passed away on June 15, 2023, in Circle of Life Hospice in Tontitown, Arkansas.
Gene was married to Annie Dye on November 26, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was active in the First Baptist Church since he and Annie moved to Westville in 1972. Gene loved to water ski, fish, build furniture, cook, and garden. He will be missed for his blunt comments and quick wit.
Gene is survived by his wife, Annie, of the home; three daughters, Gwen Enright and husband, Mark, of Houston, Texas, Brenda Lindsey and husband, Paul, of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Angela Brown and husband, Chris, of Franklin, Tennessee; six grandsons Nathan Lindsey, Seth Lindsey, Joseph Enright, Andrew Enright, Beau Brown, and Brooks Brown.; four granddaughters, Annie Lindsey, Haley Lindsey, Grace Enright, and Maggie Brown; seven great-grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and three nephews.
The family is requesting in lieu of flowers to please send donations to First Baptist Westville Mission Trips Fund.
