Herman Crittenden

Herman Jay Crittenden, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on May 24, 1940, Herman lived a life rich with joy, love, and a deep commitment to his family.

Herman's interests displayed his diverse passions and skills. He found joy in being outdoors, especially hunting. He also enjoyed the competitive spirit of pitching horseshoes with his brother Raymond. An avid craftsman, Herman took pride in woodworking and painting, pursuits that allowed him to express his artistic side and create lasting memories through his creations.

He is survived by his wife, Ina Crittenden, son Cecil Crittenden, and his wife Kris, daughter Judy Crawford and her husband Mike, daughter Carol Montgomery, sisters Sue Patton and Opal Raimond, and brothers Don and Bob Crittenden. Herman also leaves behind his grandchildren: Amy Vaughan and her husband Navil, Megan Kingcaid and her husband Mitchell, Erin Montgomery, and Phillip Montgomery, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Elias Vaughan, Wyatt Kingcaid, and Ramona Randel.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Gladys Crittenden, his son Kenneth Crittenden, sisters Ruby Carey and Roxie Green, and brothers Austin, Calvin, Raymond, and Melvin Crittenden.

As we remember Herman Crittenden, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, and a steadfast commitment to family and friends. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be missed deeply, yet fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
