Ines Rexroat

Ines Genevive Rexroat, daughter of Ferdinand and Eva (Schmidt) Springer, was born on June 11, 1918 in Lahoma, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 98 years.

She attended school in Goltry, Oklahoma. Ines married Orlie Raymond Rexroat on November 23, 1938 and they were blessed with over 53 years together before his passing in 1992.

Ines was a lifelong Okie, having grown up in Western Oklahoma. She lived in Westville for many years and then moved to Muskogee, to be near her daughter in 2002. She was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God in Muskogee. She enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, and walking her dog, Boo. Ines loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed mowing the lawn!

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ferdinand & Eva Springer, husband: Orlie Rexroat and sister: Lois Karbs.

Ines is survived by her children: Dixie Irwin of Muskogee, OK, Lawrence Rexroat and wife Virginia of Eufaula, OK, Alva Rexroat and wife Vera of Watts, OK, sister: Quieda Jo White of Enid, OK, grandchildren: Randy Irwin, Joe Irwin, Robin Rexroat, Connie Cannon, Shawnna Roach, Zachary Rexroat, 17 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Westville City Cemetery, Westville, Oklahoma with Bro. Paul Cross officiating. Interment was under direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK
