Jennine Cherie Ambrose (Ellis), 71, passed away in Azle, TX on November 18, 2024, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. Born in California, she spent most of her childhood growing up in Adair County, Oklahoma. A devoted Christian,Jennine’s journey through life was marked by unwavering love in God and her steadfast dedication to her faith. 

Her life was a testament to her desire to teach. She loved being a teacher working for both the Department of Defense Education Activity and Texas ISD. She excelled as an elementary ESLteacher, specializing in reading fundamentals for many years before her retirement.

Jennine cherished her time with family and had a passion forChristmas and Advent. The family home would be beautifully decorated, with gifts lovingly wrapped and waiting under the tree, creating cherished memories for all. While living and working in Europe, she and Jerry travelled extensively in their little red touring wagon. She loved to cook, enjoyed gardening,and never turned down a good shopping trip.

Jennine was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Ellis and Francis Mary Bianchi and brother James Gonnella. She leaves behind a legacy as a devoted wife to Jerry Ambrose and a nurturing mother to Paula Ambrose, Megan (Dennis) Brown and Corey Ambrose. Her joy was multiplied by her grandchildren, Nathaniel (Nate), Ryan, Preston, Koi, Sophia and Zoe. She further leaves behind a brother Robert (Bobby) Ellis, sisters Deborah (Scott) Andrews, Colleen (Jerry) Soldate, and multiple nieces, nephews and extended family.

A visitation will be held on December 2, 2024, at Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, 1428 Williams Ave, Westville, Oklahoma from 8-10 am, immediately followed by a graveside service at 10 am, to honor her life at Westville Cemetery, Westville, Oklahoma. Family and friends are invited to gather where the warmth of Jennine’s spirit will embrace all present.
