Jerry Dan Meeh, age 78, was born on June 21, 1940 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Daniel Edward and Elizabeth (Bigby) Meeh and departed this life on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Claremore, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Elizabeth Meeh and his step-nephew, Robert B. Doyle, II.
Surviving Jerry are his sisters, Judy Grindle of Langley, OK, Jane Doyle and husband Bobby of Stilwell, OK, two step-nieces and a step-nephew, Susie and Dan Duke of Ft. Gibson, OK, Janie and Tim Cook of Ft. Gibson, OK, and James Doyle of Houston, TX.
Jerry Dan operated movie theater projectors while in high school in Westville, Siloam Springs, Lincoln and later in Stillwater, which developed a life-long love for movies.
Jerry was a graduate of Westville High School and joined the National Guard. He trained at Ft. Chaffee in Arkansas and Ft. Jackson in South Carolina.
After his service, he returned to Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University for two years.
Jerry then moved to Pawnee, Oklahoma and became the Administrative NCO and Supply Sergeant of the National Guard Armory for 11 years.
Deciding he wanted to see more of the country, he became a cross-country truck driver for three years.
Jerry returned to Westville and became a technician at Baldor Electric Company, where he retired after 25 years.
He enjoyed attending many air shows, gun shows and antique auto shows. Jerry Dan was a man of few words and many varied interests. We will all miss Him greatly.
