John Dean was described as loving, honest, passionate, and a warrior for Christ by his grandchildren and as kind, creative, and inspirational by his great-grandchildren. He spent his life working hard to create a beautiful family and providing that family with opportunities to live lives full of joy and experiences. John loved wood working and gave away over one hundred wooden crosses that he made by hand as a way to minister to others in the community. Many people who knew him knew what a joy it was to receive one of his creations - and what joy he received giving them. He was an avid fisherman and could fry fish with the best of them - and it was always delicious. John met his wife Jean in high-school and spent sixty-five dedicated years loving her as his spouse. Their love not only provided an example of what marriage should be to their immediate family, but to all around them. He absolutely adored her. Most importantly, John loved the Lord. We know today that he is in Heaven catching a football or sharing a laugh with those he missed in his earthly life.
Prayers and thoughts are appreciated by the family as we navigate the world without our husband, father, and Papa John.
