Johnny Ray Myers, born on July 28, 1950, in Westville, Oklahoma, departed from this world on January 6, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love that marked his life. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Johnny touched the hearts of many with his kind spirit, infectious humor, and exceptional dedication to his trade as a Master Electrician for the oil and Poultry industry, where he honed his craft for over 50 years.
From an early age, Johnny was known for his ability to make friends wherever he went; he truly never met a stranger. His welcoming nature captivated everyone who crossed his path; whether it was sharing a laugh or a helping hand, he poured love into every interaction. Johnny had a delightful sense of humor that brightened even the dullest moments and turned ordinary gatherings into cherished memories. He was a man of profound kindness, always ready to lend an ear or a heart when needed.
Johnny had a need for speed often found around town racing his cars with anyone up for a good hometown challenge. Family was the cornerstone of Johnny’s existence, and he took immense pride in being a loving father to his son, James Christopher Myers, and a doting grandfather to his grandson, Malakai Myers.
Johnny leaves behind a sprawling family, each member holding a piece of his vibrant legacy. He is survived by his son James Christopher Myers and his grandson Malakai V. Myers
of the home, two nieces, Paula Vanover and husband James of San Angelo, Texas, and Kendra Morton and husband Marvin of Westville, Oklahoma, along with his nephew Craig Myers and wife Karen of Odessa, Texas. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his sister-in-law Frances Myers of Odessa, Texas, three great nieces, one great nephew, four great great nieces, two great great nephews, and one great great great nephew, in addition to numerous cousins and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Raymond H. and Lucy Ophelia Myers, and siblings Paul D. Myers, James H. Myers, and Brenda S. Myers-Daniels, as well as his nephew Terry Markham Myers, all of whom hold a cherished place in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A memorial service celebrating his remarkable life will be held on January 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, located at 1428 Williams Ave, Westville, Oklahoma.
Johnny Ray Myers lives on in the stories shared, the laughter echoed, and the love that endures through those he touched. His spirit will be forever woven into the fabric of his family’s lives, guiding them with the same humor and warmth he so generously bestowed upon all who knew him.
