In Loving Memory of Jordan Ray McConnell May 23, 1993 – June 10, 2025
Born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on May 23, 1993, Jordan Ray McConnell entered this world carrying a light so radiant, it touched everyone who crossed his path. On June 10, 2025, he left us far too soon — but the love he gave, the joy he spread, and the difference he made will live on forever in the hearts that knew him.
Jordan was a soul unlike any other — gentle, generous, hilarious, and endlessly kind. He had a rare gift: he made people feel truly seen, deeply heard, completely valued, and unconditionally loved. Whether through a warm smile, a thoughtful gesture, or a perfectly timed joke, he had a way of letting others know they mattered. And oh, how he loved being a prankster — always ready with a clever trick or funny surprise to bring laughter into every room he entered. His sense of humor was infectious, and his playful spirit left a trail of unforgettable memories.
Jordan loved the outdoors in a way that was part of his very soul. He had a true passion for fishing — day or night — finding peace and joy in the stillness of the water. He was equally at home splitting firewood with quiet purpose or wandering fields in search of arrowheads, marveling at the beauty of the earth and its history. These were the things that gave him life, rooted him in simplicity, and connected him to something larger.
He was also an incredibly hard-working and intelligent young man. Jordan was proudly pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business and held an impressive 3.7 GPA. His academic dedication earned him placement on the President’s List, numerous honor roll merits, and induction into the National Society of Leadership and Success, as well as his school’s Honor Society. He balanced excellence in his education with the same dedication, humor, and heart he poured into every corner of his life.
His greatest joy, though, was being a father to his cherished daughter, Maylee Jean. She was his heart, his pride, and his reason for everything.
Jordan is forever held in the heart of his mother, Virginia White McConnell, who carries Jordan, his brother Jarrod, and her grandchildren as her heart, soul, and entire world — a love that knows no limits. Jordan, my handsome precious son, I love you with all my heart and soul. Both my sons, Jordan and Jarrod, are my world, my heart, and my best friends. My grandchildren — Cason, Maylee, Jett, and Rowan — are my everything. I love them with all of my heart and soul. They carry forward the light that Jordan so freely gave.
His relationship with his best friend and big brother, Jarrod White and girlfriend, was beyond words. They shared an unbreakable bond, a connection built on laughter, loyalty, and deep, unwavering love. Jordan also loved his nephews — Cason, Jett, and Rowan White — with all his heart. They brought him joy and pride, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He is also survived by his daughter Maylee and her mother, Tessa Simington; Maylee's Aunt, Alyssa Simington, his grandparents Ershel and Linda White and his great-grandmother Virginia White, all of whom loved him deeply and dearly and whose hearts will always hold him close.
Jordan is preceded in death by his cousins Jamie and Jason White and his great-grandfather Ralph White, who now welcome him home.
He is lovingly remembered by aunts and uncles Flo and Jim White, Robert White; and cousins John, Jackie, and Maddy White, Josh Allen, Nickayla Posey, and Robert Stephen.
On his father’s side, he is survived by his loving father, David McConnell, and step mother Kay Frye whom Jordan loved. Jordan shared a close and special bond with his siblings Dalton and Timberleigh Frye, filled with love, laughter, and mutual admiration. He also leaves behind siblings Dustin and Kaylynn, and was especially close to his uncles James, Chuck, and Don Frye, who each held a special place in his heart. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Donna McConnell, who now embraces him with love once again.
Jordan’s closest friends included Weston Phillips and Josh Butler, who were like brothers to him — and close friends Lewis summers, Layton Davis, Brandon Butler, and Daniel Walker, who stood by him through thick and thin. He also shared a special bond with close family friends like Lisa Helton, Herb, Corinna and Hunter Cleveland, Amanda Payne, Seth and Sherry Dalton, and so many more — too many to list — but you all know who you are and how much he loved you.
Jordan’s light will never dim. In every laugh, every shared memory, and every act of kindness, his spirit endures. He was the kind of person people never forget — the kind who leaves a mark on every heart he touched. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Rest peacefully, my handsome precious son. We all love you with all our hearts and souls. You are loved more than you will ever know. Fly high — until we reunite and see your beautiful face again, son. My beautiful baby.
