Kimberly Faye Blossom Retana was born on December 20, 1965, to Mary Martha Bouyear and Haroldine Blossom.
Kimberly embodied the radiant essence of love and connection, inspiring countless lives as a devoted daughter, sister, mother, niece, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. One of her most remarkable qualities was her extraordinary ability to welcome strangers with open arms, offering a boundless love that touched everyone she met.
Despite enduring profound trauma, pain, and sorrow throughout her life, Kimberly's resilient spirit never wavered. She remained committed to loving others, offering forgiveness, and always finding her way back to the Lord.
Her greatest joy was caring for those she loved. Cooking was her love language, and she found happiness in making sure no one ever left her home with an empty stomach or an empty heart. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, drawing, and ceramics alongside her mother, creating lasting memories filled with creativity and laughter.
Kimberly's greatest pride and joy was her daughter, Valerie Michelle Blossom. She treasured every basketball game, makeup-at-home dance recital, milestone, and memory they shared. Through every trial and triumph, Kimberly loved her daughter unconditionally, speaking proudly of her every chance she had. Their bond as mother and best friend will be cherished forever.
She also shared a loving relationship with her devoted life companion, Damien "Papa Ol'" Castillo. Whether spending weekends at the casino, enjoying Mexican food together, or simply caring for one another, their love continued to grow. Kimberly showed her love through everyday acts of kindness, from preparing his favorite meals to washing his work clothes, and she cherished the youthful joy he brought into her life.
Kimberly adored her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She filled their summers with adventure, offered comfort whenever they needed her, and created memories they will carry forever. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren, and even as her health declined, she eagerly looked forward to watching them grow.
As Kimberly's earthly journey came to an end, her family found peace in knowing she now rests safely in the loving arms of the Lord. Her love will continue to shine brightly through all of her babies and everyone whose life she touched. Until we meet again, your memory and your love will live forever in our hearts. You are loved beyond the moon.
