Larry Eugene Olinger, 84, of Westville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his home in Tucson, Arizona, on April 16, 2026. He was born on December 26, 1941, in Westville, Oklahoma, where he would spend much of his life and call home.

Larry answered the call to serve his country when he enlisted in the United States Army in 1963. He served with honor during the Vietnam War and went on to dedicate over two decades to military service before retiring from the Army in 1986. His commitment to his country did not end with his retirement. Larry continued to serve as a federal employee in administrative work, culminating in a distinguished tenure with the United States Navy as a member of the Fleet Technical Support Team - a role that reflected both his dedication and his lifelong commitment to public service.

Larry is survived by his darling daughter, Deborah Olinger.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan Olinger; his parents, Martha and Herschel Olinger; and his brothers, Herschel Junior Olinger, JD Olinger, Richard Olinger, and Tom Olinger; and his sister, Imodene Watt.

Larry Eugene Olinger lived a life of quiet dignity and steadfast service—to his country, to his family, and to his community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral and memorial services will be held at Downing Cemetery in Baron Fork, Oklahoma, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. A memorial service will also be held in Tucson, Arizona, at a date to be announced.
