Lila May Wilson Wilhite of Westville, Oklahoma passed peacefully on July 13, 2020 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was born October 25, 1940 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, daughter of Boyd “Skinny” Wilson and Esther Osburn Wilson. She is survived by a husband, Joe Wilhite of Westville, Oklahoma; a son, Rodney Wilhite; a daughter-in-law, Erika Wilhite; and a granddaughter, Vivian Wilhite, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by five siblings: Bobby Wilson, Betty Wilson Gabbard, Joe Wilson, and the twins Jimmy and Jackie Wilson. Lila also had a home daycare for twenty-five years, where she became a second mother to generations of children in Westville. She was well known for her kindness, compassion, and gentle humility.There will be a closed-casket visitation at Roberts & Hart Funeral Home in Westville, Ok on Friday July 17, and a graveside service at Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas (near Lincoln and Cane Hill) on Saturday July 18, 2020 at 10:00AM. For the protection of the elderly and immunocompromised, we respectfully ask that attendees wear masks. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Holiness Church in Westville, Oklahoma.
