Linda Black, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on December 9, 1945, Linda was a cornerstone of her family served as an inspiration all who knew her.

Linda passion for life was evident through her cherished hobbies and interests. She found joy in quilting, gardening, doing puzzles, and playing cards and dominos where her competitive spirit shone brightly.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Hannah Sexton, siblings Darrell Sexton, Roy Sexton, and Judy Phillips and grandson Kaden Pippin.

Linda is survived by her husband George Black, son, Kevin Black and wife Jennifer, and daughter, Shelly Pippin and husband Danny. She also leaves behind her siblings: Emmett Sexton, Susan Harmon and husband Randall, Jo Ann Sharp and husband Bill, and Gary Sexton, Aunt Dedo, grandchildren: Brittany Black, Payden Black, Nicole Black, Dalton Black, Cary McAlpine, and Lulu Pippin, along with a host of great-grandchildren, and countless friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and warmth.

Linda’s legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her vibrant spirit and the wonderful moments shared together.
