Marguerite Smith

Marguerite Smith was born June 22, 1921, to Joe and Ethal Martin of Witcher, Oklahoma. Marguerite passed away on June 18, 2023 in Colcord, Oklahoma, at the age of 101 years old.

She was preceded in death by James T. Smith, Junior Hitcher, daughter Ginger J. England, parents Joe and Ethel Martin, brothers John and James Martin, and sister Betty Martin.

Marguerite was survived by daughter Joy Rogers of Conroe, Texas, son Jim Smith and wife Eliza of Stilwell, Oklahoma, sisters Mary Garney and husband Fox Garney of Oregon, Marilyn Masey of Oregon, Retta Glide of Oregon, and Bennie Faye Ball of Stilwell, Oklahoma, seven grandkids, numerous great grandkids, nieces, and nephews.

Marguerite led a very interesting life. She worked on B17 bombers during WWII. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, and the love of crafts of all kinds. Marguerite enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all.
