Ronald Sidney Ketcher passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 11, 1947, in Long Beach, California, Ron was a proud Cherokee citizen. He grew up in Los Angeles, California, where his love for the outdoors blossomed through countless adventures in hunting, fishing, and camping.

Ronald dutifully served in the United States Marines, stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, where he forged lifelong bonds and developed a deep sense of pride in his service. Following his military tenure, he worked at General Motors before moving to Oklahoma, where he dedicated many years of his life to Cherokee Casino, ultimately retiring from a job he loved.

He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Rowley and her children, Sarah, Corey, and Gracelyn. Additionally, he leaves behind his brother Doug Ketcher and sister-in-law Vidella, along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Ella, Navy, and Wes. Ron's family also includes stepchildren Jason and Justin Thompson, along with their children, Bradley, Bryce, Reba, and Silas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Ronald Ketcher is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ina Ketcher; his son, James Douglas Ketcher; his sister, Mary Ellen Mitchell Ketcher; and his beloved wife, Denise Thompson Ketcher. The absence of his warm spirit will be felt profoundly by all who knew him.

In honor of Ronald's life, a memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his legacy and the love he shared.

As we say our goodbyes, let us hold dear the memories of Ron: his laughter, his kindness, and his indomitable spirit. He will forever live on in our hearts.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Denise Thompson Ketcher, his parents James and Ina Ketcher, son James Douglas Ketcher, and sister Mary Ellen Mitchell Ketcher.
