Sheridan Ross

Sheridan Cannon Ross, also lovingly referred to as S.C. or Raz, passed away on September 5, 2018 in Springdale, Arkansas.

S.C. was born August 11, 1933 in Watts, OK to Wasker Rome Ross and Willie Lee (Rutherford) Ross. He joined the United States Navy in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1960 after achieving the rank of TM2 SSD. Following his time in the Navy, S.C. moved to Houston, Texas to work for Shell Oil, where he ultimately retired.

S.C. married Erebana "Polly" Ward Ross in 1956 and had two children, Ginger and Scott. He was a member of the masons most recently the Lodge of Westville, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, five brothers, and his wife.

He is survived by his two children, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and extensive family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, OK with Bro. Jim Beavers officiating. Interment followed at Westville City Cemetery, Westville, OK.
