Shirley Claudean Carlton

Shirley Claudean Carlton was born January 3rd, 1938 in Westville, Oklahoma to parents Louie & Lodema Sweet. Shirley was called home by our Savior on January 27, 2025 at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years Lawrence Junior Carlton, grandson Kile Bradley Carlton, son Sheldon Carlton, sister & brother-in-law Helen & Paul Fishinghawk, brother & sister-in-law Arlan (Bud) & Joyce Sweet, a precious and loved daughter-in-law Rhonda Carlton, and wonderful son-in-law David Nelson. 

 Shirley leaves behind two daughters, Sherry & Greg Cochran of Westville, Oklahoma; Shelley & Sam Hilderband of Chewey, Oklahoma; one son, Shannon Carlton of Westville; and one beloved sister, Ailene Wages of Chester, Arkansas 

Shirley had many grandchildren whom she adored: Holly Johnson of Springdale, Arkansas; Sandi & Chris Cole of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Camille & Michael Clark of Westville, Oklahoma; Steven & Carise Carlton of Colcord, Oklahoma; Cody & Amber Carlton of Westville, Oklahoma; Cale & Haley Millis of Prarie Grove, Arkansas; Mercedee Carlton of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Weston Carlton and Tasha Fourkiller of Westville, Oklahoma; and McKenlee Carlton & Coley Taylor of Park hill, Oklahoma. 

Shirley was blessed with several precious great-grandchildren: Kaleb Sousley, Lizzie Clark, Trevor Cole, Alice Johnson, Kash Carlton, Kyson Carlton, Kenzlee Carlton, Carter Taylor, Kayne Cartlon, and Eko Carlton.
