Val Hemkes

In loving memory of Val Hemkes, whose gentle soul departed from this world on June 20, 2024. Val was born on August 9, 1958, and during her time on Earth, she touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for her two sons, Brandon and Wesley.

Val Hemkes will always be remembered as a devoted and nurturing mother who found immense joy in raising her sons. Her memories will forever live on in the hearts of those she cherished the most. Val's passion for children was evident in her everyday life, alongside her interest in child psychology, which she pursued with great enthusiasm.

Beyond her dedication to motherhood, She found joy in the simplicity of nature, the songs of birds, and the loyalty of dogs. Her love for reading the Bible provided her with comfort and spiritual guidance throughout her journey.

Val is survived by her beloved sons, Brandon and Wesley. She is predeceased by her mother, Judy Tripp; sister-in-law, Treva; brother-in-law, Dwayne; and grandmother, Goldie Baldwin. Their memories will live on as a testament to the impact Val had on their lives.
