Virginia Curtis

Celebrating the life and memory of Virginia Gail Curtis, daughter of Fairest Sloan and Elizabeth Thompson, born on July 15, 1955, in Stillwell Oklahoma. She passed from this life on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in Rogers, Arkansas at the age of 67 years, 1 month, and 9 days. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a graduate of Westville High School. While in high school she worked at Sloan's Dairy Bar where she met the love of her life, James Paul (JP) Curtis. They were married on June 4, 1973, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. To this union, daughters Kamisha and Tonya Curtis, were born.

She leaves behind her husband: JP Curtis of the home in Westville, Oklahoma; daughters: Kamisha Curtis of Richmond, Texas, and Tonya Shreve and husband Scott Shreve of Cincinnati, Arkansas; grandsons: Zane Curtis and fiancé Lacy Reed of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Tyler Shreve of Cincinnati, Arkansas; great grandson: Xander Curtis of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; a sister: Connie Sloan of New York, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many more family and friends.

Gail was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and sister-in-law who loved her family and friends unconditionally. She worked hard all her life and had a heart the size of Texas. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and watching her grandson's sporting events. She was a huge Oklahoma Sooner's fan. Gail cherished the many friendships she made while working at Franklin Electric and ABB/Baldor.
