Wanda Jean Pace, 92, a long time resident of Westville, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Wanda was born in Westville, Oklahoma on June 27, 1930 to Henry Brewster and Zoe (Akins) Shackelford.
Wanda was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Westville. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #449.
After raising their children in Texas and after her husband Ed's retirement, they moved back to Westville and built a home on the land that Wanda grew up on. Wanda always enjoyed working outdoors and gardening. She loved being at home, working on their house and farm. In later years, they enjoyed traveling to Bluegrass Festivals around the country in the RV and spending time at Tenkiller Lake.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, of 58 years and her parents.
She is survived by her three children, Connie West and husband Randy of Alamogordo, NM, Jimmy Pace and wife Lennie of Hammond, LA, Tony Pace and wife Debbie of McAllen, TX, six grandchildren: Kevin West, Shelly Young, Jimmy Lynn Pace, Michael Pace, Jason Pace and Bethany Pace, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Wanda is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
