Wanda Mae Pickett passed from this life on May 15, 2026, at her home in Watts, Oklahoma. She was born on October 16, 1949, in Hatfield, Arkansas, to Clyde and Minnie Lea.
Wanda was a woman who found joy in life’s simple treasures and in the people she loved most. In 1988, she married the love of her life, Billy Pickett, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Following Billy’s passing in 2023, she deeply missed the life they had shared together.
Nothing brought Wanda greater happiness than spending time with her family. Her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were among her greatest joys, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Wanda enjoyed quilting and creating with her hands, finding comfort and peace in every stitch. She loved getting lost in a good book, tending to her garden, and spending time watching crime shows. She also enjoyed shopping at secondhand stores and searching for hidden treasures. And anyone who knew Wanda knew that a Dr. Pepper was never far from her side, one of life’s little pleasures she simply could not do without. She also shared a special bond with her beloved fur baby, Maggie Moo Sue.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory: her daughter, Tracy Williamson, and Steven of the home; her son, Bryan Gordan, and wife Stephanie of Duncan, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Derek Williamson and wife Samantha of Westville, Jason Williamson and fiancée Alandrea of Watts, and Austin Williamson and fiancée Abby of Watts; seven great-grandchildren, Westin, Asher, Atticus, Aspen, Wrenley, Ashton, and Max; one brother, Wayne Lea of Portland, Tennessee; one sister, Peggy Harrison of Charlotte, North Carolina; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pickett, and her sister, Louise Britton.
Wanda will be remembered and celebrated during a Celebration of Life on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Watts Community Building.
