Wayne Faddis

Wayne Leslie Faddis passed away peacefully on August 15, 2020, at the age of 84 years and 14 days, at his home in Stilwell, OK.  He was born to Leslie and Grace (Nicholas) Faddis, on August 1st, 1936.  He was united in marriage to Retha Brown on June 8, 1957 in Stilwell, OK.  They made their home in the Piney Community and were blessed with three sons: Kenneth, Robert and Jerry.

Wayne graduated from Westville High School in 1954. He was a farmer and through the years he raised row crops, dairy cattle and commercial eggs while also working for the soil conservation service and the forestry department.  In his later years, he enjoyed raising cattle and spending more time fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Retha.  Three sons; Kenneth and wife Nedra of Fort Gibson, Robert and wife Carol of Westville, Jerry and wife Jolene of Stilwell.  One brother Dale Faddis.  Three sisters; Velma Deason, Helen Chadwell and Bonnie Childs.  Five grandchildren; Clint Faddis, Daniel Faddis, Hayden Faddis, Jessie Howell and Casey Kester.  Ten great grandchildren; Trenton Faddis, McKenna Howell, Corbin Howell, Autumn Faddis, Kenneth Faddis, Clarissa Faddis, John Ray Faddis, Whitley Kester, Coleman Kester, Wiley Kester and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Melvin Faddis and one grandson Anthony Wayne Faddis.
