Claudina Benton

Claudina Benton, daughter of Virgil Lee and Myrtle Louise (Taylor) Kindle, was born on December 17, 1946 in Proctor, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Friday, December 18, 2015 in Westville, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years.

She was a hard worker and helped support her family as a convenience store manager for many years. She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. Claudina enjoyed the outdoors and outdoor activities such as: camping, fishing and boating. She had a great time playing softball. Claudina loved cooking for her family and was a great cook. She was well known in the community and will be dearly missed.

Her parents, 1st husband: Cordell Whitmire, sisters: Janet Campbell, Sharon Christie, brother: Virgil Ray Kindle and son: Wendell Dale Whitmire preceded her in death.

A loving family survives her. They include her husband: Dana Benton of the home near Westville, OK, children: Kevin Whitmire and wife Kimberly of Westville, Sonya Lawson and husband Jim of Westville, Daniel Benton and wife Nikki of Keys, OK, 11 grandchildren: Kendra, Kyle, Jason, Ashton, Justin, Ariel, Jennifer, Cordell, Kinlee, Kindle, Kaleia, 10 great grandchildren, siblings: Connie Mouse of Tahlequah, OK, Betty Meridith and husband Gary of Proctor, OK, Keith Kindle of Cookson, OK.

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Mt. View Free Will Baptist Church, Westville, OK with Bro. Lance Unger officiating. Interment at Proctor Cemetery, Proctor, OK under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
