Edith Helen (Kirk) Bias, 90, of Broken Arrow, OK passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021. Edith was born on June 9, 1931, in Summers, AR the daughter of Millard and Dora (Sheppard) Kirk.
She had an amazing green thumb and gardening ability, loved sitting on the porch swing sipping her iced tea and visiting with friends and family that stopped by, she was the first in her family to graduate high school and always stressed the importance of a good education. She would give someone the shirt off her back and loved everyone that came by with whatever veggies she had from the garden that day along with any pearls of wisdom that popped up during the visit.
She was preceded in death by her father, Millard Filmore Kirk and mother, Dora (Sheppard) Kirk. Her brothers and sisters, John Preston Kirk, Cpl.James Franklin Kirk, Iola May (Kirk) Bay, Carrie Elizabeth (kirk) Burris, Minnie Alice (Kirk) Bay, Ruth Ann (Kirk) Scraper, Elmer Lee Kirk, and William Paul Kirk. Her daughter Connie Lynn (Easterling) Catrett and her granddaughter Ashley Kay Davis.
Survivors include her son and daughters, David Bias, Lesha Bias, Terry Prince and Billie Davis. Her grandchildren Emily Bias, Andrew Guillot, Michelle (prince) Cuevas, John Cuevas, Seth Rubright, Evan Rubright and wife Georga, Kirstie (Rubright) Woods and husband Brandon, Barclay Grady, Phoenix Grady, Jerri Brianna Burney-Mcdonald, Stephen Catrett, and Stephanie Catrett and many great grandchildren
A visitation will be held on Thursday December 9, 2021, from 1 PM to 7 PM at Roberts and Hart Funeral Home in Westville. A graveside will be held the following day December 10, 2021, at Westville City Cemetery with Bro. Navil Vaughan officiating. Services are under the direction of Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
