Eileen Davison

April 5, 1944 — December 12, 2021

Westville

Eileen Patricia (McCown) Davison, daughter of Preston William and Pearl Nannie McCown, was born on April 5th, 1944 in Upland, California and passed from this life on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was a kind hearted, loving, hardworking, hard headed woman.

Gene was her world, 56 years of marriage that began on February 4th, 1965. She enjoyed taking care of him. Her children were very special to her, even though she called them the wrong names. She loved being a grandma and a great grandma. Her grandbabies could do no wrong.

She always had a smile on her face, never met a stranger, had a sense of humor for everything and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She worked at Franklin Electric until she retired after 30 years. She enjoyed all of her friends she made there.

She was a fantastic cook, you never ate anything that tasted better than Nanny's food. She knew her recipes by heart, never having to measure. She made the best homemade cookies and macaroni salad.

Her love for Christmas was something that you couldn't miss. The house was filled with dancing and singing Christmas dolls. She would always play them for the kids when they came to visit. There were so many that you could barely walk in the door.

She loved her dog Dexter, going to yard sales and always had a Hallmark movie playing at any time of day unless she was at the Casino. Some would say that she lived there, she loved that place.

Most of all, she was a Christian woman. She would always tell her grandkids to say their prayers at night. She exchanged Bible verses daily with a friend and loved receiving midnight Mom devotionals with messages and scriptures. Her last wish is for her family to be HAPPY!

She was preceded in death by her parents: Pearl Nannie McCown and Preston William McCown, siblings: John McCown, Jerry McCown, Glen McCown, Imogene Baublit, Deloris Williams, Harvey McCown, Novadene McCown, great grandkids: Hunter Burrows, Kaisley Frazier, great niece: Kayla Smith and niece: Darlene Rand.
