Emma Lee Harrington was born on August 13, 1950 to Albert and Lucy Swake. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Emma married Joe Harrington on December 30, 1974. They had two children, Michael and Sylena Harrington. She worked many years at the chicken plant. She finished her working career at Baldor, where she worked for 17 years. She was a member at Cornerstone Baptist Church. When she wasn’t working, she was with family. She enjoyed sitting around and talking with her sisters Coleta and Regina. She was always helping take care of somebody. She was very giving and caring. She always said she was proud to be Indian. Later in life she truly enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved sitting at the table playing cards and listening to Elvis. She always had some type of crime show playing on her TV. Cooking big family dinners was her specialty and she enjoyed trying new recipes. She was supportive in her family’s sports, programs, and activities. She had a great personality and loved to laugh.
Emma was proceeded in death by her parents: Albert and Lucy Swake, husband: Joe Harrington, siblings: J. W, Lucille, Robert, Elamae, Albert Jr., and Regina.
Emma is survived by her children: Michael and Darla Harrington of Westville, OK, Sylena Harrington and Brent Davis of the home; grandchildren: Robin and Watie Vann II of Stilwell, OK, Jordan and Janaya Harington of the home, Ashley Harrington of the home, Jalan Harrington of Westville, OK, Marissa Bogart of Watts, OK, and Layla Harrington of Westville, OK; great-grandkids: Alena, James, Dawson, Emma and “Buddy” Vann, Carter and Brody Harrington, Anayah Harrington, and Oden Carter; siblings: Coleta Fatheree of Stilwell, OK, Perry Swake of Tahlequah, OK, Buck Swake of Stilwell, OK, John T. Swake of Westville, OK. Many special nieces and nephews also survive her.
