Glenda Morton

Westville

Glenda Faye Morton, daughter of Daniel Thomas and Rosalee (Walters) Vaughan, was born on December 8, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with Lord on Friday, June 19, 2020 in her home in Westville, Oklahoma surrounded by her family at 72 years of age.

Glenda worked for Clarke for 17 years as a supervisor in shipping and she would later work with Larry in the family business.

Glenda was a very kind, loving and devoted wife, mother and nanny.  She was always looking for ways to help her family.

Glenda was a great cook and enjoyed watching her family and friends enjoy any new recipe that she wanted to try.

Glenda loved her family and enjoyed traveling to watch her grandchildren participate in all of their activities.

Glenda was saved at a young age and passionately followed God all of her life.  She was full of wisdom, strength, love and never afraid to instruct you on the path of righteousness.  Glenda was the solid rock of her family.

Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Vaughan and brother, Donald Ray Vaughan.

Those remaining to keep her memory include: her husband Larry Morton of the home, children: Deana Paden and husband Victor, Brent Morton and wife LaWanda of Stilwell, OK, her mother: Rosalee Vaughan of Checotah, OK, grandchildren: Storm Paden of Checotah, OK, Forrest Paden and his wife Devyn of Conway, AR, Caitlyn Morton of Westville, OK.

She is also survived by her siblings: Audie Vaughan and wife Faye of Stilwell, Linda Kirk and husband Charlie of Lincoln, AR, Dennis Vaughan and wife Dianne, Janice Vaughan, all of Stilwell and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including a very special friend, Jenna Sitsler and her daughter Zoe.

Funeral services held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Impact Church, Westville, OK with Bro. Navil Vaughan officiating.  Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
