Sammy Smith

Sammy Lee "Pete" Smith son of Clarence Webster and Nellie Mae (Chapman) Smith was born February 23, 1954 in Houston, TX and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on February 9, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 17 days.
Pete had a huge heart and it showed by all the love he gave to the residents of the nursing home by dressing up as Elvis on many different occasions to make them smile. He also loved bowling, coaching youth football but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Flo Gott and Shirley Potterton and brother Lloyd Marshall.
Pete is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Rhonda Smith, sons; Sammy R. Smith and wife Stacey all of Stilwell, OK, Danny Smith of Pine Bluff, AR, Ronnie Smith of Van Buren, AR, daughters; Sandra Dunham and husband Billy of Huntsville, AR, Tammy Evans and husband Rodney of Hector, AR, Shirley Massey of Van Buren, AR. 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters; Pam Keith and husband Arthur of Fayetteville, AR, Katherine Woods and husband Don of Stilwell, OK, Fay Ward of Fayetteville, AR, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
