We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Roberts & Hart Funeral Home
Scott Ghormley, son of Wayne and Lucille (Worley) Ghormley, was born March 23, 1958 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and he departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior August 6, 2022 at his home of 42 years in Chance, Oklahoma at the age of 64.
As a boy, Scott walked to Taylor school which was just down the road from his childhood home. Later on he went to Skelly School and then graduated at Watts High School in 1976. Scott married Debbie (Choate) on November 2, 1979 in Prairie Grove, AR. after meeting her for the first time at the Sloans Dairy Bar in Westville, OK on April 21, 1979, and to this union one daughter and one son was born.
He always enjoyed showing animals in FFA and became a dairy farmer, along with his wife Debbie for 21 years. After that Scott raised beef cattle and also hauled cattle to Guymon, OK. with his wife. They had some crazy adventures together during that time. Scott enjoyed going to the teepee he built and watching the deer he also liked to ride his bike that ran on Kobalt drill batteries up and down the county roads. When not tending to his cows, he enjoyed flying over Adair County in his paraplane scaring people and dropping candy down to the kids. Scott liked being outside with his daughter Dana and loved to watch her target practice with his Dad's old .22 pistol. His son Caleb held a special place in his heart. Caleb knew his daddy's voice and would watch for him to come in the door so they could sit at the table and eat together. Scott was a jack of all trades and master of all. He could fix anything he touched and enjoyed helping out the neighbors with their problems as well. Scott always enjoyed teaching the adult Sunday School class and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Diana Ghormley.
