Philip Hewitt

Philip Duane Hewitt was born January 29, 1952 in Stockton, CA to William Isaiah and Velma Grace Hewitt (Gilbert).  He went to be with our Lord on November 3, 2022.

Philip spent some time in the United States Marine Corps.  He also had many skills including Master Cement and Plasters Masonry.  He was an operative and speculative mason.  Philip had a remarkably diverse plethora of skills.  He also enjoyed many other hobbies, including spending time with his children and grandchildren, camping, fishing, scuba diving, fourwheeling/UTV riding, bbqing, woodworking, and almost anything else that meant being outdoors.  He loved to travel just to see the beauty of God's creation.  He was kind, compassionate, gregarious, and a loyal patriot and Christian whose family meant everything to him.

He spent 33 years as a 3rd Degree Master Mason with the Westville Masonic Lodge No. 549, He served as Grand Master and enjoyed every day of it.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Hewitt, four sisters, Hope Hewitt, Sharon Hewitt, Joy Grace Hewitt, Deborah Hewitt, and a beloved daughter-in-law, Tammy Hammonds Hewitt.

He is survived by his beloved German Shepherd, Rastus, one sister and brother-in-law, Jim and Rebecca McAnally of Lake Elsinore, CA, his children, Joshua and Denise Hewitt Marin of White Bear Lake, MN, Philip Hewitt of Westville, and Duane and Rose Hewitt, also of Westville, grandchildren Amber Hewitt, Cara Hewitt, Joshua Hewitt, Alexis Hewitt, Jeremiah and Aimee Hewitt, Philip and Maridon Nipps Hewitt, Duane Hewitt, Isaiah Hewitt, Trevor Hewitt, Julian Marin, Justin and Kimberly Rowley, Ashely Hammonds, Brandy York, Jessica York, Kaden York, and several beautiful and cherished great-grandchildren.  Significant others to him; Crystal Hewitt, Deb Howell, Jason Dutton, Ashton Witte, Staci Perkins, Ray Yamas, Mary Morin, and the Swafford Family for a lifetime of love, loyalty, and support.

Philip had a vast extended family that he also loved and cherished and are too numerous to mention.
