Roy Sexton

Roy Wendell Sexton was born in Columbia, Missouri on February 13th, 1947.  He was fourth child born to E.G. and Hannah Sexton.  The Sexton Family settled in Stilwell, Oklahoma in the summer of 1960.

Roy was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 and proudly served until he was honorably discharged in 1968.  After being discharged, he moved to Cincinnati, Arkansas and obtained a job in a processing plant where he would meet the person who he would marry and build a lifetime. Georgia Ann Sexton  and Becky Renee’ Sixkiller, along with Roy, were the beginning of the next 50 years.  Roy and Georgia were married on October 6th, 1972, followed by the birth of their daughters; Cindy Jean in 1973, Rhonda Gail in 1980, and Patricia Dawn in 1982.  From the beginning they had to face many hardships, including the unexpected and unfair death of Becky Renee’.  This family that started with Roy and Georgia continued to grow over the following years and nine grandchildren were added to the mix: Winston David and Jasmine Renee’ Ketcher, Dalton Matthew and wife Jessica Raylynn, Kyrah Elizabeth, Ashton Skye Marsh and her significant other Shane Michael Donte Johnson, Raven William McGee, and Sadie Dawn, Waylon (Bubba) James, Jr. and little baby girl Ross.

Roy was preceded in death by his daughters: Cindy and Becky, several siblings, and other extended family members.

Roy was loved by many, including sons-in-law Marc Marsh and Waylon Ross, Sr. and will be severely missed by all.
